For years I've worked in conservation, restoration and maintenance. I've learned many traditional skills plus the understanding that things change, tools advance, safe working practises improve and our knowledge of the impact we are having to this planet updates alarmingly.
I strive to lessen my impact, on all projects.
I've been renovating wooden floors for many years and now I'm branching out to include retail and commercial too.
Still with the high standards that I insist on in your homes but now getting under your feet in the pubs, restaurants and dance halls you visit.
.
This is one of my new machines. The Lagler Hummel. Dust free sanding for over 50 years. It looks like a beast but dances like a beauty. In the background is my edge sander, the Lagler Flip, again, with it's own dust collection system.
.
Clients often worry about their fixtures and fittings being in the path of such large machines. My care level is second to none.
I must add to save confusion, I don't just sand the floor, I "finish" it using high end products providing you with years of beautiful flooring.

A 1930's outbuilding belonging to a terrace house. Overlooked and most certainly unloved.
I could see the beauty that this space could provide before the first window was removed.
The rain drips, you sit and sip your morning coffee.
We've learned the importance of having a place which gives us the feeling of peace and protection.
Some of the floor was rotten due to lack of air circulation from beneath. New boards were added to keep the costs down. (reclaimed boards cost more)
A simple feature that has been stared at for years, the charm and character hidden . A space, yet again, overlooked and not valued.
After sanding colour was added to the floor to give it a warm look and to disguise the new boards.
The fireplace had a traditional finish applied.
